5th and 6th class had great fun recently when we explored electricity and how to make simple circuits. We were able to design our own “light up” gift cards. Firstly, we designed the front of the greeting card making sure to incorporate an image with eyes. We explored and investigated how to build a circuit into the card where, if all the connections were secure and in the correct places, the LED lights would light up on the front. A lot of investigation, teamwork and trial and error were part of this lesson – STEAM in full motion! Feel free to click on our image gallery to find out more about our artistic investigations!
