Well done to Annie in Mr. Dempsey’s class on composing some beautiful poetry. Here is a sample of her work.

The 18th of May

Every kid can’t wait for the day,

When we can meet our friends on the 18th of May.

We have been texting and calling, but it isn’t the same,

As going outside and playing a game.

2m apart is what we’ll  be,

You’ll be talking and playing outside with me.

It’ll be fun the day is near,

We’ll be laughing so much the world will hear.

The Guide

Conscience is a voice inside of you,

Giving you advice and telling you what to do.

Sometimes its wrong, sometimes its right,

Whatever it is you trust it with all your might.

It could be your own voice or someone you knew,

It’s a trustworthy guide inside of you.

It thinks of the things you want to say

It holds your thoughts and memories every day.

You’ll get through life if you follow the guide,

Go through life with your eyes open wide.
