Garda Visit to Moycarkey National School

Garda Annette, Garda John and Harley the German Shepherd visited our school last week. It was very exciting and interesting. They talked to us about what a Garda does. They also told us about what Harley does. Garda John from Cork is responsible for Harley. Harley is trained to protect John and also helps to find people, bad medicines or things that are missing. Other dogs are trained to find bombs and other dangerous items. He was a beautiful dog and we got to rub him afterwards. Tipp FM visit Moycarkey National School

Tipp FM visit Moycarkey National School           Today, Tipp FM came to our school to ask us questions. Our class was very excited to be on the radio. There was a man called Brian and a lady called Lorraine interviewing us. As a class we brought home the questions to prepare them in advance. The recording will be played on Tipp FM sometime next week. It was great fun being on Tipp FM this morning. I really enjoyed it!
