The children are really enjoying their pottery lessons. They look forward to their weekly lesson with Rachel. The children are given the opportunity to express themselves through clay. Every child creates their own piece which they will bring home. The children have made heads and clocks to date.  They are looking forward to creating many more master pieces. Literacy Lift Off

The senior infants and first class  are busy with literacy lift off. We have three sessions per week. The children enjoy this literacy activity. They are reading lots of books  at the familiar reading station and the new book station.They enjoy the writing station where they get to write about the books  they have enjoyed.  They love the magnetic letter station where they work on their letters and word building.The children get to take home a new  book each night  and they enjoy reading it with their parents. This class activity is a great success and the children really look forward to it....

The Easter Bunny

Friday the 15th of April was a very special day for the children in senior infants and first class as the Easter Bunny  arrived early. He kindly left lots of eggs for the children. The children, accompanied by their special teddy bears went on an egg hunt with Ms. Kennedy. The children were delighted with what they found hidden in the grass and the hedging. The Easter Bunny was very generous and the pupils were delighted with their gifts. We then enjoyed an Easter party while watching Toy Story 3 . Our trip to the library- a great day had by all

The pupils of junior infants, senior infants and first class went on a trip to Thurles library on Wednesday 30th of March. We were treated to a spectacular story telling session with Denis- the librarian. The children really enjoyed the stories which he presented by entering into the role of the characters. Denis brought the books to life for the children and they were eager to become part of the stories.
