Parents Council Chairpersons Address

Presentation of cheque for Literacy Lift Off Programme

The Parent’s Council are happy to report that the Cookery Demonstration which took place in the Horse & Jockey Hotel on the 25th of November last was a great success and we have now raised the money needed to fund the Literacy Lift Off Programme.  I like to take this opportunity to thank all involved in the Parents Council that helped organise, run and supported this major event and also a big thank you to Sean Ryan our camera man on the night and Will Hourihan our sound man.  It was a great night, which everybody enjoyed. Cookery Extravaganza

Firstly let me thank everyone who supported our cake sale,  all the helpers on the day both parents & students and to all who made the lovely buns and cakes.  It was a great success and it wouldn’t have been possible without all of  your help.   We are organising a cookery extravaganza in the Horse & Jockey on the 25th of November at 7:30pm.  Anne Neary from Ryeland House will be demonstrating how to prepare two starters, main meal and two desserts for Christmas.  She will also be showing how to make punch.  After the demonstration there will be refreshments and music in the...

Parents Council Cake Sale 28th of November

At the moment we are organising a cake sale which will be held in the Halla on Friday the 28th of October and will run from 1pm to 3:30pm.  Anybody that would like to donate a cake, you can leave it into the Halla on Friday morning.  All parents are welcome to come and hopefully you will find a delicious cake that you can take home and enjoy or stay and have tea and coffee with the other parents.  It’s also a great opportunity to meet some of the parents that are active in the Parents Council and all monies raised will help towards the Literacy Lift-Off programme and other projects that the...

National Children’s Choir

The children from 5th and 6th class recently participated in the National Children’s Choir in the Premier Hall on May 10th. It was a fantastic occasion for the school and the concert was enjoyed by all!
