Cake Sale

Moycarkey National School Parent’s Council are holding their annual cake sale on Friday the 26th of October in the Halla from 1pm until school ends 3:05pm.  We invite all parents to come during this time and have tea or coffee, a tasty treat and a friendly chat. Also we will have a fabulous hamper that some lucky person will win.  We ask if any parent’s could donate buns or cakes for the sale, it would be greatly appreciated. Parents Council Chairpersons Address

 I would like to take this opportunity to thank all present members of the Parents Council for their support and involvement throughout 2012 and look forward to working with you all again this term to help support our growing school.  Our AGM was a great success thanks to the Paramedics from South Tipperary General Hospital who demonstrated the importance of paediatric first aid.  I was disappointed that more of our parents didn’t participate but congratulations to all of those who got their First Aid certificates.  I cannot stress enough the importance of the Parents Council, the work that...

Green School News

This year, the school will be working towards our third Green Flag. This year’s  theme is Water.  A committee has been set up with representatives from 1st to 6th class. The flag focuses on water conservation in school while revising the two previous flags, litter and recycling and energy.

Peace Convention Choir Competition

The School Choir are busy practising for an upcoming competition which be held in Tipperary Town in November(date to be confirmed). The choir must perform three songs, each with a theme of peace. It promises to be a great school event.

Cross Country 2012

Last Wednesday, the school took part in the annual Cross Country Championships in Thurles. We had great success winning team gold in 3rd and 4th class boys and 5th and 6th class boys.
