School Tour 2012
The pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th class went to Cork for their school tour on June 1st. The children went bowling first in Cork city. Following that, we travelled to Cobh where we went on the the Titanic Walking Experience around Cobh town. The school celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge on March 16th. The day was filled with lots of activities and all pupils took part. There was an outdoor ceili in the morning led by Michael Cooney, a quiz as Gaeilge for the pupils from 2nd to 6th and the school choir performed a selection of irish songs for the rest of the school. The children from 5th and 6th class took part in a four week programme which incorporated rugby skills and life skills such as goal setting and communication. There was also a rugby tournament held in Cashel last Friday in which two teams from the school took part. Both teams played very well with one team making it to a semi-final.
